August Favourites

It’s that time of month again where we all share our favourite products. These posts are some of my favourite posts to read and also to write. I usually only do a ‘product of the month’ but I have way to many favourites to choose from this month, so I have decided to go back to sharing all of my faves from the month and if there is a stand out product then I will let you know on Instagram/Twitter or something. Let me know your favourite products this month and if you would like to know mine then please keep reading..

August Beauty Favourites

  • Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder – Every time I use this I ask myself ‘why didn’t I buy you sooner?!’ Absolutely love this product and can see this lasting me ages so it’s well worth the investment!!
  • NYX Studio Perfect Clear Primer – This is the first product I have tried from NYX and its ace! It feels like velvet when you apply it to your face and my makeup stays put all day!
  • Topshop Glow Stick Play Up – I bought this on a whim as I couldn’t decide which highlight to get and the shop was closing in like 2 minutes but I definitely made the right decision! Looks so pretty for everyday use as it’s not too ‘in your face’.
  • Kiko Glitter Metal Nail Lacquer 148 – One of the prettiest nail polishes I own. I use this as a top coat to a plain colour and it looks gorgeous! (I can’t find this on the UK site so linked the American one so you can see the shade etc. I bought this in store)

August Accessory FavouritesΒ

  • Angel Wing Earrings – I got these for my birthday this year from my lovely cousin so I’m not too sure where they are from but they are so pretty. I have been looking for a pair of earrings like this for a while but had no luck so I was very pleased when I opened these on my birthday.
  • Olivia Burton Blue & Rose Gold Watch – I have had this watch for a while now but only kept it for special occasions but realised I wasn’t getting as much wear out of it as I would like. So I have been wearing it for pretty much the whole of August and really enjoying wearing it again. Olivia Burton watches are definitely some of the prettiest I have ever seen!!

So that rounds up my August favourites. Don’t forget to let me know what you have been loving this month and feel free to leave me links to your posts as I would love to read them.

My Favourite High End Products!

Hey guys! I hope you are having a brill weekend! The sun has actually made an appearance here in the UK and it’s lovely! So on Monday I did a post about my favourite drugstore products which you can find *here* and I have now decided to do one about my favourite high end products because even though there is something so satisfying about finding a good bargain I also love high end products because you know they are going to be good, I feel great when I use them and they always look really pretty! It took me a while to whittle it down to 6 products – I don’t have loads of high end products but I just love all the ones that I do have. So here they are –

  • Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick (Pink Quartz) – I was lucky enough to receive this for Christmas and I absolutely love it! It looks so natural. The packaging is really sturdy and it’s got a nice big mirror in so its good for on the go! It also looks beautiful when you open it up!
  • Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eyeshadow Palette (The Vintage Vamp) – This is new to my collection but I already love it! I am literally obsessed with Charlotte Tilbury products because they are amazing, look beautiful and I just love them ;). You can create so many looks with all of the palettes and there are videos on the CT website showing you exactly how to do them.
  • MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation (NC15) – I have spoke about this so many times on here because it is truly amazing! It’s got good coverage but it’s still light weight and I have re-purchased! It is one of the best foundations I have used!
  • Bobbi Brown Lipstick (True Pink) – This is a matte lipstick but its still got like a creamy formula so its not super drying and I just love the colour! It stays on for ages and smells really good too!
  • Benefit Hervana Blush – I have also mentioned this blush on here before to so I wont go on too much but I really like this blush! It looks super natural you can build it up. You can also use it as eyeshadow – who doesn’t love a two in one product and it smells nice as well, this is the first blush, that I have used, that has a smell to it and its really nice!
  • Charlotte Tilbury Film Star Bronze & Glow – Well this little beauty is just stunning! I love everything about it! The packaging is stunning and the bronzer and highlighter are gorgeous! I love this so much I have used it nearly everyday since I bought it – yes I even use it for work! I have done a full post on it *here* if you want to know about it in more detail.

A few of my favourite things..

Hello there! I am writing this blog post drinking a hot chocolate and watching Harry Potter with all the candles lit in my living room and it really does feel like winter. It is getting really cold here in the UK now so the winter wardrobe is out. Jumpers, big cardigans, boots and scarves πŸ˜€ wahoooo!

I am going to share a few of my favourite things with you today. I will probably do a monthly favourites post next month but for now I just wanted to share things that I am loving right now and things that I am still loving years on down the line :). So lets get started…

IMG_0819

As you can see there are quite a few things but I use these everyday and I just love them all! I tried to include a mixture of things so we have hair, beauty and a few random bits.

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Shampoo

I have had this shampoo for a few months now and I really like it. I dip dyed (ombre) my hair a few months ago and I wanted a product that would take care of my hair as well as keep the dye in for as long as possible so I was just browsing the different products and came across this. It was on deal so that also drew my attention to it, because you cant beat a good deal! This just makes my hair feel so soft and look a lot brighter. I have the conditioner as well which I just use on the ombre bits but unfortunately I have left it at my mums house so I couldn’t include it but they are both brilliant products and I would recommend them!

V05 Heat Protect Styling Spray

I have been using this product for quite a while now. I spray a good amount all over my hair before I dry it because you have to look after your hair before throwing all that heat on it! This product just does what it says on the bottle protects hair from heat. I feel like its working because my hair doesn’t feel dry or damaged after drying like it did before this product. The bottle also has a lock button on it so when you are travelling it wont accidentally get sprayed all over your clothes which is great!

Simple Kind to Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll-On

I use this every morning before I put any makeup on. I love how it feels under your eyes its so cold and refreshing because the roll on is a little metal ball. When you are shattered on a morning this is just what you need to wake you up. It reduces puffiness and makes you feel awake and refreshed.

Mitchum Advanced Anti-Perspirant & DeodorantΒ

This one is quite a random one but I had to include it because it actually works. I have tried a few different deodorants and haven’tΒ like any of them as much as this one. It smells nice too which is a bonus. It says it ‘keeps you feeling dry and comfortable for 48 hours’Β and I agree.

Daisy by Marc Jacobs Perfume

This is my favourite perfume ever! I first came across this in duty free but I was in a rush so I didn’t have time to buy it but my lovely boyfriend got it for me last christmas and I was so pleased because it was one of the things I had asked for which is unusual for me because I never know what I want for Christmas and birthdays. It just smells so fresh and beautiful. Its not too over powering either which is what I love about it. I definitely recommend this perfume to anyone.. the bottle is also amazing too so it looks ace on your dressing table!

MAC Superwatt Electric Cool Eyeshadow

This is a new addition to my makeup collection. I was just browsing a few weeks ago and came across these. I loved the colours straight away. It was a toss up between this one and Pure Flash which is a champagne colour but I have quite a lot of lighter eyeshadows so I went with this one and I am so pleased! It looks amazing and doesn’t really crease, even after a stressful day at work!

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation – NC15

I LOVE this foundation. I have only just started using this product since I moved to Manchester because there isn’t a MAC shop or Selfridges back where I used to live so I have just sort of discovered them and I couldn’t be happier! I never used liquid foundations before because I didn’t like how they looked on my skin but I have now been converted! This just looks so smooth and amazing, everyone needs to try this! πŸ™‚

NARS Laguna Bronzer

I only did a post on this a few days ago so I wont ramble on too much but I love this bronzer a lot. I only got it a few days ago but its just amazing and everyone need to have this on their christmas list this year if you don’t already have it! LOVE it :).

Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Set

This is my first set of good quality makeup brushes and I am so impressed. I got this set in July and I have used them everyday since. You get 3 eye brushes, 3 foundation/concealer brushes, 1 blush brush and one powder/bronzer brush. They feel so soft and amazing on your skin and they make applying your makeup so much easier. This set is another one which needs to be on your Christmas list or even an early christmas present to yourself, everyone deserves a treat sometimes ;).

The Beach Cafe by Lucy Diamond

I am going to finish this post off with a book favourite. I love reading I just wish I had more time to sit down and read but I do whenever I get the chance. I bought this book a couple of weeks ago. I had finished a series of books I was reading and thought I would just browse the Amazon top 10 and this one was second and only 59 pence I think which is a bargain. As soon as I read the blurb I knew I had to read it and I am now hooked! I literally want to read it all the time! If anyone is stuck on what to read next then buy this because I love it and I haven’t even finished it yet! If anyone has read this book let me know what you thought but don’t tell me what happens πŸ™‚

So thats it for my favourite things I hope you enjoyed this slightly longer post and I hope I didn’t ramble too much. I probably did but I get carried away sometimes πŸ™‚

Thanks for reading!

See you soon.
