Beauty Products I Want to Try!

My beauty wishlist is constantly growing, even when I manage to treat myself to something on the list you can almost guarantee two more things will be added straight away. I have done a couple of these posts before but thought I’d do an updated one because my list seems to be very large at the moment so I am going to share the top 5 products that are currently on my wishlist. Don’t forget to let me know whats on your wishlist at the moment too…

Beauty Wishlist Collage 2017Beauty Wishlist –

  • Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick – I still haven’t tried anything from Hourglass and there is always one of their products on my wishlists. I have heard good things about this foundation and I have always been intrigued by the stick foundations.
  • L’Oreal Paris Paradise Mascara – This is a new product from L’Oreal and as soon as I saw this was being released it was mentally added to my list. I love L’Oreal products so as soon as my current mascara runs out I will be purchasing this.
  • Iconic London Illuminator Drops – These look absolutely amazing!! I feel like your highlight would be on point 24/7 with these.
  • The Body Shop Expert Face Masks – I really like the look of these and have tried samples but haven’t tried any of the new ones. I love face masks, especially when they are from The Body Shop.
  • Zoeva Coral Spectrum Blush Palette – Zoeva is my favourite makeup brush brand and I also have a couple of their eyeshadow palettes so I really want to try this blush palette. It looks so pretty and you really can’t go wrong for just under £15!!

That rounds up the top 5 products that are on my beauty wishlist at the moment. Let me know if you have tried any of them and what you think. Hope you’re having a good bank holiday weekend as well!!

My go to Blush for Spring

Hi guys, I hope you are really well! With Spring just around the corner I thought I would share with you the blusher that I will be using pretty much every day throughout Spring and have been using every day for the past couple of weeks. The blush I am talking about is the Clinique Blushwear Cream Stick in the shade Rosy Blush. I will just say, I think this particular one has been discontinued but the chubby sticks look very similar.

So as the name says this is a cream blusher and I have only really started using cream blushers in the past year or so as I always thought they would make my skin look greasy and oily but I was so wrong! This blush sit so nicely on my foundation and under powder, it gives me a really healthy glow which is perfect for any time of year but I definitely feel its a good look for Spring. Before using this blusher my usual blush, bronzer and highlighters were powder products and I noticed that my skin was getting a few dry patches which is why I decided to switch up my powder blush for this one and it has definitely helped with it being a cream product.

As I mentioned before I apply this after my foundation and then set everything in place with my usual powder and it just makes my cheeks pop with colour and gives them a nice rosy glow. It also lasts all day so there is no need to re-apply! I have a feeling that this product is going to last me a long, long time as a little goes a long way, a few dabs of this and you are good to go! It literally takes 3 seconds which is a bonus if, like me, you are always in a rush on a morning!

I am wearing this blush in the above picture and I just love it! It is so pigmented and such a shame that Clinique discontinued it. However, the Clinique Chubby Sticks look pretty similar and I am sure that Boots and Superdrug will have much more affordable cream blushers that do exactly the same thing!

Let me know in the comments what you think of cream blushers and if you haven’t tried them them I recommend giving them a go! I hope you enjoyed this post!

See you soon!

Stila Blush!

Hey guys, so as promised in my last post I am back to normal and this post is beauty related! It is so over due as I meant to write about this blush aaages ago! The blush I am talking about is the Stila Convertible Colour Dual Lip & Cheek Cream Blush in the shade Sweet Pea. This is the first cream blush I’ve ever tried. I picked this up as I was chatting to Jess from The Beauty Sanctuary about it, it also happened to be on sale at the time so before I knew it I had purchased it and a few days later it was part of my collection… oops! However, I am totally not sorry that I bought it as it is beautiful!

The packaging alone is super pretty as you can see. It’s in a nice compact case with a mirror so super easy to apply when you are out. I like to apply this straight after my foundation. I apply it with my finger and just pat the product onto my cheeks very lightly until I am happy with how it looks then go over with powder to set in place. You do have to be quite light handed otherwise you’ll end up with a sort of clown look going on. This is definitely the perfect blush if you like a natural, glowy look. It’s perfect for everyday as it lasts but would also be a good one for date night and any natural look.

I can’t remember how much I paid for this but I know it was on sale, I don’t think I paid more than £10.00 for it. They are currently £16.00 on the Stila website and Boots which isn’t too bad for a two in one product as this as can also be used on your lips too!

If you are in the market for a new cream blush then add this to your list. It is affordable, lasts all day and looks super pretty. I hope you enjoyed this post, don’t forget to let me know what you think in the comments!

Ciaté Olivia Palermo The Cheekbone Cheat Duo!

Hello lovelies! I hope your Wednesday has been a good one! A few weeks ago now I was browsing the makeup section in TK Maxx, I don’t do this very often as TK Maxx is one of those shops that stresses me out a bit because they are usually quite messy but I know you can get some amazing deals in there, especially on makeup! So when I saw that they had the Ciaté Olivia Palermo collection in there I let out a little squeal of excitement as I had wanted to get my hands on them for ages! I also absolutely love Olivia Palermo’s style, I always see her in my magazines and you can guarantee I will love her outfit and makeup! She is one person I would love to go shopping with!

I decided to go for The Cheekbone Cheat Duo in the shade Bluff Point as this one stood out to me the most, I probably would have got one of the eyeshadow palettes as well but unfortunately they didn’t have any of those in. The packaging is so pretty, it’s simple yet still looks super fancy. The black on the top looks almost like leather. It is the perfect size for any makeup bag as it isn’t too large so it is also good for keeping with you in your handbag and it won’t weigh it down because lets face it, our handbags are heavy enough.. well mine is anyway!

Now lets get onto the best bit, the product itself! Both the bronzer and blush are matte so this is a good product for during the day, nothing too fancy or shimmery! Because they are matte you can also use the bronzer for contouring and create those ‘killer cheekbones’ everyone talks about these days! I’m not a massive one for doing the full contouring thing but I think I am slowly getting there and this product is helping me! The blush is so pretty and really natural. This is like the perfect duo for me as they both suit my skin tone really well!

Getting onto the technical side of things the website says: ‘The Blusher Bronzer duo is infused with Bamboo extract, for smoothing, oil-controlling results. The cream-like powder glides flawlessly to skin for instant coverage with a weightless, sensuously soft feel.’ I totally agree with the cream-like powder bit as it is so soft and really does glide on and blend so well. This is definitely my new favourite blusher and bronzer at the moment!

I am now going to talk about the price. These are usually £25.00 on the Ciaté website which isn’t super expensive compared to some high end brands but it is still quite pricy! I managed to get this gorgeous duo for £6.99!!! 6 pounds and 99 pence! I really did let out a squeal of excitement when I saw the price and couldn’t quite believe it – bargain of the month! To be honest, I probably would pay the full price as I really do love it, it’s just a bonus that I managed to get a good deal!

Have you tried any of the Ciaté Olivia Palermo collection? Let me know in the comments! I hope you enjoyed this post.

See you soon!

Kiko Haul!

Hey guys! It’s been a while – how are you?! I have been in the process of moving which is why I haven’t blogged in ages as I just haven’t had the time or the energy to be honest. I am now all settled and can’t wait to get back into blogging and also catch up on reading blog posts, I have really missed it! I thought I would do a haul today as I ordered some things from Kiko for the first time and would like to share it with you.

  1. Water Eyeshadow 200 Champagne – This is the most gorgeous champagne gold colour. It’s super shimmery and looks so pretty on its own or mixed with the other water eyeshadow I purchased. I also love the design of the water eyeshadows, they look amazing!
  2. Water Eyeshadow 227 Light Taupe – This is also a really pretty colour. It’s a little different to how it looks on the website, not as shimmery as I thought but the shimmer is still there. This also looks gorgeous on its own or mixed with Champagne. I also like using this on the inner corner of my eye as a highlight.
  3. Colour Veil Blush 03 – This is a peachy pink blush and looks so pretty especially if you want a more natural glow to the cheeks.
  4. Beam of Light Highlighter 02 – I love this highlighter! It’s a lovely light champagne colour so it is perfect for highlighting cheek bones, inner corner of the eye, brow bone etc etc.. Both this and the blush have a gorgeous vanilla scent to them too which is super cool as I don’t think I have ever had powder products smell so nice!
  5. Power Pro Nail Lacquer 07 Peach – This nail polish is perfect for summer! I really enjoyed wearing this as it is super bright and fun!
  6. Power Pro Nail Lacquer 21 Ruby – I fell in love with this nail polish! It’s a good one for the Autumn/Winter months but I also love it for Spring and Summer as it’s not super dark and looks gorgeous with a bit of glitter over the top too.
  7. Smart Eye Pencil 815 Black – I got this as it was super cheap and I needed a new black eyeliner. It’s not just plain black though, it does have a slight shimmer to it but when its on the eye you can’t tell.

So that is everything I got from Kiko and so far I am impressed. I will be doing full reviews on all the products so you can see a bit more detail on them. I would like to try some more Kiko products in the future so if you have any recommendations then definitely let me know!

See you soon!

Product of the Month – July!

Product of the Month!

Hello guys! I can’t believe I haven’t done a post in 2 weeks! It has been quite a busy two weeks to be honest. I’ve been seeing family/friends, I had another wedding and it was my birthday but I am now back with my Product of the Month! This month I have been loving the, super pretty MaxFactor Creme Puff Blush in the shade Lovely Pink.

The packaging of this product is pretty simple but I really like the fact that you can see the blush inside, especially if you have a few different ones from this collection, so you can see which one you fancy wearing! I chose this particular shade because I am quite pale, and I thought this one would be perfect for everyday use to create a really natural glow to the cheeks. I have been loving a more natural look recently which is why I have been reaching for this blush pretty much everyday!

If you look closely it does have a slight shimmer to it but it doesn’t make your whole face glittery. When I first bought this I actually used it as a highlight, but on days when I wanted something really subtle. I would just lightly swipe my brush over and then apply to my cheekbones and it looked really natural – perfect for everyday. When using it as a blush I swirl my brush all over, tap off the excess, as it is quite pigmented, and apply like normal.

I am pretty sure this is the first MaxFactor blush that I have tried and I can safely say that I will definitely be trying more! Let me know what your favourite MaxFactor blushes are as I would love to try more!

I hope you have enjoyed this post! See you soon.
