Hi guys, I hope you are really well! With Spring just around the corner I thought I would share with you the blusher that I will be using pretty much every day throughout Spring and have been using every day for the past couple of weeks. The blush I am talking about is the Clinique Blushwear Cream Stick in the shade Rosy Blush. I will just say, I think this particular one has been discontinued but the chubby sticks look very similar.
So as the name says this is a cream blusher and I have only really started using cream blushers in the past year or so as I always thought they would make my skin look greasy and oily but I was so wrong! This blush sit so nicely on my foundation and under powder, it gives me a really healthy glow which is perfect for any time of year but I definitely feel its a good look for Spring. Before using this blusher my usual blush, bronzer and highlighters were powder products and I noticed that my skin was getting a few dry patches which is why I decided to switch up my powder blush for this one and it has definitely helped with it being a cream product.
As I mentioned before I apply this after my foundation and then set everything in place with my usual powder and it just makes my cheeks pop with colour and gives them a nice rosy glow. It also lasts all day so there is no need to re-apply! I have a feeling that this product is going to last me a long, long time as a little goes a long way, a few dabs of this and you are good to go! It literally takes 3 seconds which is a bonus if, like me, you are always in a rush on a morning!
I am wearing this blush in the above picture and I just love it! It is so pigmented and such a shame that Clinique discontinued it. However, the Clinique Chubby Sticks look pretty similar and I am sure that Boots and Superdrug will have much more affordable cream blushers that do exactly the same thing!
Let me know in the comments what you think of cream blushers and if you haven’t tried them them I recommend giving them a go! I hope you enjoyed this post!
See you soon!
Hi lovelies! I hope you had a brilliant weekend and Monday wasn’t too much of a struggle! I did a bit of shopping this weekend and even though I was only supposed to be window shopping I ended up buying a few things so I might do a haul very soon as I am very happy with the things I bought. For now though this post is all about the Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette. I have had this since about August last year but never got around to blogging about it so if you want to know more about this palette, read on :).
I’ll start with the packaging as like all Urban Decay products it is such good quality. I only have two products from Urban Decay but I love the packaging on both and even when looking at the products at the counter (wishing I had them all) they are all really pretty and amazing quality. The mirror inside is nice and big, perfect for keeping in your handbag or even to use on a morning when you first apply your makeup!
You can get this palette in 4 different shades, I have ‘Naked’ as I felt this one was best for my skin tone and just preferred it in general. Both the blusher and bronzer have a slight shimmer to them but it is still suitable for everyday as it is a very subtle shimmer. All three are very natural so if you like the natural look then this is the palette for you! The blusher is so pretty and really makes my skin look healthy and fresh. The highlighter is very pigmented, in fact they all are, so you only need a little bit of each to finish off your look. I think this palette would be a good one for this Valentines day/weekend as you can create a lovely natural look so it would be perfect for a daytime date or an evening date.
I absolutely love this palette and really enjoy using it every day. It is on the pricier side compared to the drugstore as it is £23.50 but I think it is totally worth spending a bit more money on. It is really is good quality and will last you for ever as each product is full size and as I mentioned before they are really pigmented so you only need to dust a little bit over your face and you are good to go!
So that is it for todays post, I hope you enjoyed it! Have you ever tried one of these palettes and what do you think of it? I’d love to know 🙂
See you soon!
Hello lovelies! I hope your weekend has been amazing – what have you been up to? My boyfriends parents came to stay with us this weekend and it has been absolutely brilliant! I managed to do a spot of shopping as well so I will probably do a haul sometime soon but for now it is time for the second post in my Product of the Month series – how exciting! 😀 (You can find my first one *here*)
This month I have been loving my new Sheertone Blush from MAC. I was just going to do this as a review post but because I have been loving using this product so much this month I thought why not just tie it in with my product of the month series! A couple of weeks ago I was just browsing in MAC because I had seen a few people on youtube using their blushers and they looked absolutely stunning so I decided to get one for myself! I went for the Sheertone Shimmer Blush in the shade Springsheen which is like a Peachy Pink colour with a gold shimmer to it – basically it is just stunning and I could not be happier with it! I find that it is perfect for my skin tone and will especially be perfect for Spring/Summer time!
I love how light this blush is as it is perfect for creating a more natural look for everyday wear. You could probably use this as a subtle highlighter and even as an eyeshadow which I haven’t tried yet but I might do a face of the day and use it as an eyeshadow as well as a blush. Let me know if thats something that you would like to see? 🙂
This is my first MAC blush, I am super pleased with it and absolutely love using it! I wear it for work everyday as it is my favourite blush at the moment! You can get these for £18.00 which I think is totally reasonable because with is being powder it will last ages and also it is super pretty – what more do you want?! They have so many shades to choose from and I can’t wait to add more to my collection! Have you ever tried any of these blushers? What do you think of them?
I hope you enjoyed this post!
See you soon!
