Product Empties!

Hey guys! I hope you are well and having a fab weekend! I have been busy packing as I am going to Amsterdam tomorrow and I am super excited! I’ve never been before and already have a long list of things I would like to do and see whilst I’m there. Let me know if you have been before and if there is anywhere or any food places that you would recommend. So lets get onto todays post and I thought that I would do a product empties as I have accumulated quite a few things and want to share my thoughts on the products and whether I would re-purchase them.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation – I love this foundation! Until a better one comes along I will use this everyday! It is on the more pricy side but I think its worth it, plus if you live near a designer outlet its £21 rather than £31! I have re-purchased this as I love it!

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic – I have had this bottle for ages! I thought it was never going to run out, which is a good thing! This is the first product that I use on a morning, it freshens my skin and helps prepare it before applying makeup. I really enjoy using this product and although I haven’t yet re-purchased it, I definitely intend to. Also, little tip with this, I buy the full size bottle but when I first decided to try it I bought the mini spray bottle and I just pour the toner from the big bottle into the spray one as I find it much easier and quicker on a morning!

The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Day Cream – This is the second product that I use on a morning and I love it! It’s such a light moisturiser which is why its a good base for makeup. It keeps my skin moisturised and because its part of the Aloe range it is really gentle on the skin. I have re-purchased this and will continue to.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream – The packaging has slightly changed on this now but it is still the same moisturiser. This is a much more thicker moisturiser but it sinks in beautifully and really helps put back any moisture thats lost through out the day into my face and leave it feeling really soft. I have also re-purchased this as I love using it on an evening before bed.

The Body Shop Instablur All In One Primer – I promise this isn’t sponsored by The Body Shop, I just love their products! I have used this primer for a long time now. It’s the third step in my morning skin care routine and it just finishes off my base perfectly. It blur out my pores and helps keep my makeup in one place. I have, of course, re-purchased this as it is the best primer I have found so far!

So thats all of the products that I have used up over the last few months! Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these products.

I hope you enjoyed this post! See you soon.

Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation

Hey lovelies! I hope your week has gotten off to a good start! I am back today with a review on a foundation that I wished I had tried years ago! That is, as the title says, the Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation in the shade 1N2 Ecru. I am so late to this bandwagon! I got one of the free samples first as I didn’t want to buy the full size just incase I didn’t like it. The free samples are really good as you get 10 days worth but mine definitely lasted longer than 10 days! As soon as I finished the sample I went and bought the full size.

Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation

I had this shade tested on me before I got my sample so I knew it was the right one for me. They have 44 shades altogether so I wanted to make sure I got the right one and with so much choice I was slightly overwhelmed! Luckily the lady who served me knew what she was doing and matched me to 1N2 Ecru straight away. I love the packaging of this foundation, the only downside is that it doesn’t have a pump but I use a cotton bud and apply it on my face that way then blend it in with a makeup brush, that way it saves any waste if you pour too much onto your hand.

Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation 1N2 Ecru

Once this foundation is on and set with powder it doesn’t budge! I usually have to powder at least once a day but with this I don’t have to powder at all. It sits so nicely on my skin, doesn’t cling to any dry patches and doesn’t highlight my pores! It has SPF 10 in which is such a great bonus as I hate applying suncream to my face on its own, it always feels so greasy! It’s a medium coverage but can be built up without looking cakey. However, it still feels lightweight and doesn’t smudge/come off on clothes. The finish is Natural/Semi Matte and when this is on it does look natural which is what I look for in a foundation! I don’t like it to look like I’m wearing lots of makeup and I don’t like to feel like I have loads on either.

This foundation has been voted the UK’s No1 and I can totally see why! I am so glad I took the plunge and invested. I can see this bottle lasting me ages. You get 30ml for £30 which is quite expensive but so worth it, I think I can finally say I have found my perfect foundation! Let me know if you have tried this before and what you think about it!

I hope you enjoyed this post, see you soon!

Product Empties

Hello lovelies! I hope you are having a lovely weekend! I seem to be using up a lot of products recently so I have decided to do a Product Empties as I can’t fit anything else the the bag I keep them all in! It’s mostly makeup with a couple of hair products and some skin care as well! So lets get into it!

Product Empties

  • Batiste Dry Shampoo Tropical and Original – I love this dry shampoo, the only downside is it leaves little white bits in my hair but its so affordable and smells nice! I will purchase again as it does what it’s supposed to!
  • Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish – It’s no secret that I love this as well! I could go on and on about this but I won’t bore you as I have done a full post on it here. I would re-purchase and I already have!
  • Maybelline Superstay 24 hour Foundation – This is such a great drugstore foundation. It’s a matte finish but doesn’t dry my skin out. It lasts pretty much all day! I have re-purchased, I don’t use it as much as I used to as I have been trying another foundation but I like to have it there for days when I don’t want to use my high end foundation. If you are in the market for a drugstore foundation I would highly recommend this one! More info here!
  • Estee Lauder Doublewear Sample – I had to include this as I have just discovered this foundation and have fallen in love! It sits perfectly on my skin and stays on ALL day! I am going to be doing a full review on this so stay tuned for that! I have just bought the full size!
  • Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara – This is a really good mascara! It made my lashes look super fluttery with no clumps! I haven’t re-purchased as it is quite expensive. With mascaras I think you can get just as good with drugstore ones!
  • Soap & Glory Thick and Fast Mascara – Another mascara as towards the end I was using this one and the Bobbi Brown one together trying to get every last bit used! I enjoyed using this mascara as well as at first it made my lashes look super long but it dried up towards the end and I have never had that with any mascara before so I haven’t re-purchased.
  • Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer – If you haven’t tried this concealer then what are you playing at?! I love this stuff and have re-purchased as I can’t live without it (maybe a slight exaggeration but you know what I mean!)

So that is everything I have used up recently. A few things in there that I would buy again and a couple that I won’t! Have you tried any of the above products, if so what are your thoughts?

See you soon!

Collective Haul!

Hello lovelies! I hope you are well and had a good bank holiday weekend! Over the last couple of weeks I have picked up a few new items so thought I would do a haul… because why not ;)!

Collective Haul

First up I was walking around Richmond which is a super cute town just near where my boyfriend lives and they have a lovely little shop there called Lemon. They sell clothes, shoes, handbags and jewellery, I saw this pretty little bracelet and knew I had to have it. I love the fact that it is rose gold, who doesn’t love rose gold, and also the little heart and peace signs. It was £7 which is an absolute bargain!

I have been on the hunt for a new shampoo and conditioner for a while now as my current one just wasn’t doing it for me (I am going to do a blog post on it I think) so when I saw the L’Oreal Extraordinary Clay duo that says for ‘oily roots and dry ends’ I was like hallelujah if this works it will be my perfect shampoo/conditioner! I am still trying it out but will report back in a few weeks! I also ran out of my dry shampoo so decided to stick with the L’Oreal theme and invest in their dry shampoo from the Extraordinary Clay range. It smells soooo nice!

Next up is a firm fave of mine which is the Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream. I have done a blog post about it HERE. I absolutely love this, it just works so well with my skin and keeps is hydrated! Sticking with the makeup/beauty theme I also, finally, decided to get the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. I have had a couple of samples and thought it was about time I bought the full size product as I really like it. I got the shade 1N2 Ecru. I’ll be doing a blog post on this very soon!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

Now moving onto the final two fashion items! So you may or may not know I LOVE scarves, whether its rain or shine I usually have a scarf on and 9 times out of 10 whatever scarf I am wearing will be from my fave little shop in Ripon called TuttoBello. I went in over the weekend because they had an offer on all scarves where you buy one for £9 and get another one for free. As soon as I saw this offer I knew I had to get myself there and as you can see I got two super pretty scarves that will be perfect for all seasons.

So that is all for my little collective haul. I hope you enjoyed this post! What have been treating yourself too lately?

See you soon!

Everyday Makeup Look – Zoeva En Taupe!

Hey guys! I am back today with my favourite every day makeup look. I know I’ve been away for a while but its been one of those months where life takes over and before you know it you haven’t blogged in a month! So as I have just mentioned, this post is my favourite every day makeup look at the moment. I wear this pretty much every day, its so easy and I absolutely love using my new Zoeva En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette so this post is a makeup up look/review of the Zoeva Palette all in one!

The Makeup I Used

Zoeva En Taupe

So that is everything I used to create this makeup look but the highlight for me is definitely the gorgeous Zoeva En Taupe eyeshadow palette. I got this when I went to London last month and I have used it pretty much every day since. The shades are all so easy to wear and great for every day but also if you wanted a more heavy look then the shades towards the right of the palette can create that for you. You get 4 matte shades and 6 shimmery shades. They stay put all day with no creasing and there is no fallout with the shimmer shades! They are all highly pigmented so a little goes a long way and they are easy to blend together.

Zoeva Eyeshadow Palette

Overall I absolutely love this palette and the look above it definitely one of my faves but there will be some more looks to come as I have a few that I’ve already done and some that I will be trying out soon.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products! See you soon ❤

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess!

Hey guys! So a few weeks ago I may have gone shopping and decided to treat myself to this absolute beauty of a bronzer! It is, of course, the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Bronzer! So this is all over blogs and Youtube and has been for a while, it has also been on my wishlist for a while so I finally decided to invest.

IMG_2133IMG_2144

I’m going to start off with the packaging. It comes in this lovely box which matches the actual product packaging perfectly. It’s nothing too fancy but I like that and it also means you can see what it is straight away. The actual compact is just stunning! It’s quite big so it’s not the best for taking out in a little clutch bag but for everyday, if you have a big handbag like me, then it would be fine.

IMG_2135

Once your in you have the big mirror which is amazing for on the go and the cute little brush, I never use those brushes but always keep them just incase I do need to re-apply on the go. Then you have the amazing bronzer! I got this in the shade Light which is the lightest shade they do, there are 3 more shades to choose from. Once it is all blended in it looks so natural and if you look super closely (unfortunately you can’t see it in the pictures) you can see tiny little bits of gold in, which gives you that gorgeous bronzy glow. I could just sit and look at this all day! I love it!

IMG_2138IMG_2139 IMG_2141

Over all I absolutely love this bronzer and I am so glad I finally have it in my collection. It is a little pricy at £33.00 but I personally think it’s worth it. It lasts all day and looks gorgeous on the skin. Also because the compact is so big I can see this lasting a long, long time! Let me know in the comments if you have tried this bronzer and what you think about it. I hope you enjoyed this post!

See you soon.

Wedding Makeup Look <3

Hello lovelies! How are you doing? I have decided to do a Wedding Makeup post today as it is wedding season and also my best friend is getting married on Saturday so I have been on Pinterest constantly looking for some inspiration. My bridesmaid dress is a light pink so I went for a pink smokey eyeshadow look and kept things quite natural.

Products Used:

  • Oriflame Giordani Gold Long Wear Mineral Foundation – Porcelain
  • Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer – Ivory
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
  • Estee Lauder Pure Colour Shadow – Pink Zinc
  • Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette – The Vintage Vamp
  • Soap & Glory Supercat Liquid Eyeliner
  • Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
  • Sleek Face Form Contouring & Blush Palette
  • Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil – Dark Blonde
  • Mac Cremesheen Lipstick – Creme Cup

IMG_1856

I kept it super simple and natural with everything as something too heavy wouldn’t fit in with the whole day. For my eyes I used my new Estee Lauder Eyeshadow all over the lid. I then used the top right shade from the Charlotte Tilbury Vintage Vamp palette for some definition.

I hope you enjoyed this post! I’m not sure if this is the look I will go for on the day as I have a few in mind but we shall soon see! I don’t have much time to decide! 😉 Let me know what you think of this look in the comments as I would love to know!

See you soon!
