Uncommon Goods – Gift Guide

Buying gifts for people can be a struggle sometimes especially when trying to think of something different or unique. I also have quite a big family so birthdays seem to be coming round every month, sometimes multiple times a month for me! So when Uncommon Goods contacted me I had a look at their website and just loved the whole idea behind it. They have so many unusual gifts for everyone ranging from cute, unique jewellery to amazing home decor pieces. So to help anyone struggling with finding a unique birthday present for a family member or friend I thought I would do a gift guide showing you some of my favourite things from their website. They have different sections on their website depending on who you are buying for which makes it super easy to use.

I’ll start off with gifts for all the lovely women in your life. There were so many things to choose from but I finally decided on the Birthstone Wishing Ball which is basically somewhere to record any wishes/dreams you have for that year and you can pop them in here and then after the year is up have a read and see how many came true. These are handmade as well so everyone will be completely unique.26446_1_360pxNow for all the gifts/gadgetsΒ for men. This is one that I find the hardest because they never seem to be bothered or know what they want. Pretty much all the men in my life love gadgets so I thought this gift was a perfect one for the gadget lovers/big kids. Its called Makey MakeyΒ and basically its a circuit board that allows you to turn anything into a working keyboard.. how cool is that!?21805_1_360pxFinally, this is just all the gifts that would suit anyone which is good if you aren’t looking for something in particular. I came across these which are similar to the Wishing Balls but its a Wine Bottle StopperΒ and I just think its so pretty! I can already think of quite a few family members who would love this!!45886_1_360pxSo that is my birthday gift guide using the Uncommon Goods website. I hope this helps you in someway and gives you some fun unique gift ideas. See you soon!

The Christmas Tag!

Choose-One-FOr-Celebration

(Picture from Google Images)

Hey guys! I have another festive post for you today as you can see by the title :). I haven’t actually been nominated personally by anyone but I was reading Amy’s (Blonde Amy) tag yesterday and I really enjoyed it so I thought why not! She nominated everyone who reads it so technically I have been nominated ;). Here goes…

1) What is your favourite Christmas movie?

I would have to say Home Alone but I also remember watching The Gremlins every year with my brother, cousin and gran so those two would be my faves.

2) Do you open your presents on Christmas eve or Christmas morning?

I open them on Christmas morning with my parents and brother then my family come round or we go to them and we open some more then.

3) Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?

It would have to be all my family playing charades because my grandad always ends up speaking and also we used to play the chocolate game (I don’t know the proper name) but basically if you rolled a 6 you would have to quickly put on a hat, scarf, gloves and glasses and try cut the chocolate bar and while your doing that everyone is still rolling to get a 6 and when the next person does get a 6 you have to stop take all the gear off and they have to do the same. Sounds weird but its so much fun! Let me know if you have ever played this game πŸ™‚

4) Favourite festive food?

My auntie’s Venison Stew! It melts in your mouth and is the nicest thing in the world! Mmmmm!

5) Favourite Christmas gift?

I love getting pyjamas and socks so they are one of my faves!

6) Favourite Christmas scent?

I’m love all the cherry and berry scents!

7) Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

We usually tend to just chill watch tele and get all excited!

8) What tops your tree?

A beautiful angel πŸ™‚

9) As a kid what was one of the crazy things you always asked for but never received?

A pet dog! My mum never wanted to get one because my parents worked full time and we wouldn’t be able to walk it enough 😦 I know its not crazy but I always used to ask for one.

10) What’s the best thing about Christmas for you?

The best thing for me is being with all my family! πŸ™‚

I hope you enjoyed reading my answers. I am going to nominate everyone who reads this so I can spread some Christmas cheer! Feel free to tag me in your post so I can read yours too!

See you soon!
