Product of the Month – February!

Hey guys, hope you are well and had a good weekend! Apparently its March, not quite sure how that happened so fast but it did and here I am doing a product of the month for February! So this month and the past few months I have been loving The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter! As with all skincare products I have been using it for a few months just to make sure that it doesn’t irritate my skin and cause breakouts and I can safely say that it hasn’t!

img_3086

This cleansing butter is such a dream to use and literally feels like butter, just not as greasy! It is so soft and gentle on the skin and really does remove every last bit of makeup. After using this my skin feels so clean I never feel like I have to go back in with more product and re-cleanse. This cleanser is also perfect for sensitive skin so if you are on the hunt for a new cleanser I would 100% recommend this one. It says on The Body Shops website that it removes all types of makeup, it removes my mascara and liquid eyeliner no issues but I don’t wear waterproof mascara so I can’t comment on that but considering how easy it removes mine, I don’t think there would be any issues. If you have tried this on waterproof mascara please feel free to let me know how it performs.

img_3088

You get 90ml of product for £10.00 which isn’t too bad as a lot of other cleansers I’ve used have had the same amount of product in but they are more expensive. Overall, I really like this cleanser, it does exactly what it says on the tin, its great for sensitive skin and it lasts a fair while too! I have actually just re-purchased this as well as I am running low, that is another reason why this lovely cleanser is my February product of the month. Let me know in the comments if you have used this before and what your thought are..

I hope you enjoyed this post. See you soon!

Product of the Month – January 2017!

photo-20-01-2017-20-35-47

Hey guys! It’s Product of the Month time and I haven’t done one of these in quite a while so I’m quite excited for this, plus its the first one of 2017! I decided to change up my ‘Product of the Month’ logo/picture thing because I was feeling like it needed a change. It’s nothing special but I am quite pleased with it :). If you want to know what the one product is that I’ve been loving in January, then just keep reading..

img_3153

It is of course the Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in the shade Naked. This isn’t new to my collection as I’ve had it for a while but I re-organised my makeup drawers so that I can see everything and I have just been reaching for this pretty much every day since. I just love it and as you can see the bronzer gets a lot of use! I like everything about this palette from the packaging, as its nice and sturdy, to the actual products as they are just a dream to use and perfect for my skin tone.

img_3154

This whole palette is good for natural makeup and also if you want to glam things up a bit. The bronzer can be built up but if you want to go for a natural, everyday look then all you need is a few taps of this on your brush and you’re good to go. All 3 sections are very pigmented but the blush especially so you only need a light dusting of this which is why it looks like I haven’t even touched it! Finally the highlight, which is absolutely stunning! This again can be used for everyday, which I sometimes do if I’m feeling fancy! It can also be used as a killer highlight for a night out and looks gorgeous!

I just love how easy this palette is to use and it’s a perfect choice if you are going away and have limited space. If you haven’t tried it then I recommend giving it a go as they do have different shades to choose from.

What has your favourite product been this month? Let me know 🙂

See you soon!

Re-discovering Old Makeup Favourites!

Hey guys! I was looking through my makeup collection last weekend because I fancied using something different to what I use everyday for work and I came across a few old faves and I have now been using them pretty much every day! I love having a good old rummage and finding products that you love but haven’t used in a while because it makes you feel like you’ve got new makeup!

img_3135

First up is the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette. I think this is a staple in most beauty bloggers collection and when I first got it I used it non-stop but then somehow it got pushed to the back of my drawer. However, I have loved using it again and used it every day for work last week. The eyeshadows are so pigmented and easy to wear. I think I might do a makeup look soon using this palette because its just gorgeous!

Next is the single eyeshadow from MAC, its one of their Electric Cool Eyeshadows in the shade Superwatt. I think this may have been one of my very first MAC purchases and although it looks like I have barely used it I can assure you this has been used ALOT but a little goes a long way. This is so easy to wear and looks really nice on its own or with the shade Sin from the Naked palette over the top for a touch of shimmer. This eyeshadow also lasts all day with no creasing.

img_3137

Now onto a bit of blusher with the Kiko Colour Veil Blush in the shade 03. This is such a pretty shade for lighter skin tones and helps you achieve that healthy glow look that we all want. Again, this looks like I’ve barely used it but a little goes a long way because its really pigmented. It also smells amazing!

Finally we have another Urban Decay product and that is the Naked Flushed Palette with the bronzer, highlight and blush. This is such a good palette for every day use as all the shades are quite light and natural. I have hit pan on the bronzer which is quite sad as I never want it to run out! If you are looking for a palette like this with the 3 products in one then I highly recommend this, they stay on all day and the palette its self is quite a sturdy palette so it’s really good for travelling.

I love re-discovering old makeup favourites! Have you re-discovered anything in your collection recently?

I hope you enjoyed this post.

See you soon!

Product of the Month – May

Product of the Month!

Hey guys! It’s that time of the month again where I tell you the one product that I have fallen in love with! I have been loving so many products this month so it was quite a tough decision, but I think it has definitely got to be the Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Palette for obvious reasons… just look at it <3!

UD Alice in Wonderland

I have done a full post on this HERE, along with an Everyday Makeup look HERE. So if you want to see a lot more detail on this palette, check out those posts. I will just say though, if you are thinking of getting this palette then I highly recommend it. There are so many everyday wearable shades and then, of course, the super bright shades that look really scary but I have seen so many people create looks with them and yes some are very ‘out there’ but others could be worn every day or at least on a weekend! I am definitely going to do a look using some of them.

So I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know what your favourites have been this month!

My New Favourite App!

Hey guys! I hope you are having a brill weekend! I have got a bit of a different post today and I am quite excited about it! I have found an app that I am now obsessed with and it’s not an amazing new discovery or anything but for me its new as I have never used it before – yes I am crazy and waaaay behind the times! So my new favourite app is Etsy, I know they are online as well but I mainly use the app when browsing! I had heard of it but never really been on it and I am so glad I decided to download it as I have seen so many beautiful things and even made a cheeky purchase!

I am basically going to create a little Etsy wishlist/favourites and also show you what I have just bought on there as I am so happy with it!

Aquamarine Gold Ring

First up I saw this Aqua Marine Wire Wrapped Ring and I have wanted a ring with a stone this colour for a while now. I just think it is so pretty and classy. This ‘ice blue’ kind of colour is my favourite!

Blanket Scarf

I had to include a scarf in here and when I saw this I instantly loved it! I love the colours they are so bright yet not in your face. Plus this looks super warm!

Fancy Tape

These little tapes are so cute, I really need to get some for my to-do lists and diary so that I can jazz them up a bit and these would be perfect!

Galaxy Fairy Lights

I fell in love with these fairy lights straight away! I love fairy lights but I also love anything to do with stars and space! They are quite pricy but absolutely gorgeous.

Iphone 6 Case

I am thinking of getting a new phone soon when I can upgrade so I am have been looking at loads of Iphone 6 cases, you can get so many pretty ones and this is definitely one of my faves that I have seen so far!

Iphone Case

Another pretty phone case! I really like the clear cases especially if you get a coloured phone you can still see it!

Owl Scarf

Scarves are my downfall! I have waay to many but they are so good for making a dull outfit look a bit more put together! I love owls so I was instantly drawn to this scarf!

OwlcPencil Holders

Keeping on the owl theme how cute are these pencil pots, which could also be used for storing makeup brushes! Owl decor is just way to cute 😀

Ring Holder

This is the perfect home decor item for me! You can’t beat a bit of CHANEL and champagne! This would be perfect for keeping jewellery in or even keys and loose bits of change!

Turquoise Ring

Another ring with the same-ish colour stone but I absolutely love it! So simple but beautiful!

So my little purchase was some Harry Potter bookmarks! As you may know I am a huge fan of Harry Potter so I couldn’t resist buying these especially as one of them has my favourite quote on ‘Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light’. These bookmarks were sent from Poland but got here in a few days and the packaging was super cute, they had hand written my name on the box in fancy writing and it has a little thank you card in! I got these from a shop called HomeDecorDrawing, just incase any of you are Harry Potter mad like me and want to get some for yourself.

So there you have it some of my favourite things from my favourite app! I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know what you are loving on Etsy at the moment as I would love to know so I can add more things to my favourites!

See you soon!

2015 Beauty Favourites!

Hey lovelies! I am back today with my 2015 beauty favourites! I know it’s a bit late seen as though we are nearly half way through January but better late than never right?! I have quite a lot of favourites this year so I am going to jump straight in!

IMG_2534

Urban Decay Naked Palette

I had to include this as it is my first Naked palette, the eyeshadows are amazing and so pigmented. I could go on for hours but we all know it’s amazing!

Sleek Face Form Contour Palette

I reach for this pretty much every day, especially for work as it is so easy to use. The bronzer, highlight and blush are all really good for my skin tone, plus they stay on all day. It is also super affordable but really good quality. I didn’t think I would love it as much as I do when I first bought it!

Bobbi Brown Classics Eye Palette

This is gorgeous! The eyeshadows are all neutral shades and there is also a super pretty glitter eyeshadow in there. It’s really good for smokey eye looks but I tend to stick to two shades in particular for every day and that is ‘Stonewashed’ all over the lid and then a little bit of ‘Cement’ which is the glitter over the top – super simple but looks like a lot of effort has gone into your eye look!

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow

This product is just amazing. It’s another where not a lot needs to be said. The packaging is gorgeous, the bronzer is perfect for my skin tone and the highlight is absolutely stunning! Love it and I will continue to love it for the rest of my life! (It will probably be in my 2016 favourites!)

Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic – First Love

Yes more Charlotte Tilbury.. we all know I am obsessed! This blusher is so pretty! I absolutely love using it, I would use it everyday if I could but I don’t want it to run out! It’s a good blusher for lighter skin tones!

Lamora Flat Kabuki T01

This is another product where I didn’t expect to love it as much as I do! I had never heard of this brand before but my boyfriend saw a deal online where you could get this brush for free, so I said why not and I have used it everyday since. It puts on my foundation so well and makes it look natural and smooth.

Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Foundation

This foundation is ace! It’s a perfect match for my skin tone, it’s super affordable and basically I love it! It’s a matte foundation which is good for me as I get quite oily on my T-Zone and it stays on pretty much all day. I only really need to powder once through out the day.

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer

This concealer was huge in 2015, I think everyone has used this concealer and if not then you are missing out! It’s drugstore so, again, super affordable. It blends into my skin so well and it’s great for touch ups during the day as you can just quickly dab it in with your finger if needed. It also covers dark circles so I’m not walking round looking like a zombie!

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick – Bronze

Eyeshadows/sticks are my downfall and this is one of my all time faves! It’s bronze as the name would suggest and is perfect for everyday as it is shimmery but not over the top shimmery. It also stays on all day and looks the same after a full day at work as it did in the morning. I really need to invest in more shades!

Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara

This is quite a new favourite of mine as I got this for Christmas, so you could say its cheating a bit, but when I sat down to write this post the first product that came to mind was this mascara. I got it as part of a set and I am so pleased this was in there. It makes my lashes look so long and fluttery, it stays on all day and doesn’t clump. I will definitely be buying this when I run out!

The Body Shop InstaBlur Primer

This is the best primer I have ever used. I actually prefer this to Benefits Porefessional Primer, plus this one is cheaper! It definitely keeps my makeup in place for longer and hides pores! I have re-purchased this a couple of times and will continue to this year!

Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot

Bit of a gross one but we all get spots and this is a good product for getting rid of them! Its like a cool gel that you put on the spot and depending on how stubborn the spot is, gets rid of it pretty quickly. You can feel this working, it’s like a tingling feeling on your face but I quite like that as you know it’s working!

Tea Tree Cool & Creamy Face Wash

This is another new-ish product, I got it in November I think but I already love it and knew it would be in this post! My skin is looking so much better after using this. It is especially for blemished skin but it doesn’t seem to dry it out. I used to stay away from Tea Tree products as they used to dry out my skin but this hasn’t so far! I really enjoy using this and I am so pleased I have finally found a face wash that works for me!

CHANEL Chance Eau De Toilette

This perfume smells amazing! It is my new ‘signature scent’ as I absolutely love it! I can’t really describe what it smells like so here is what the website says – ‘A floral fragrance that intertwines Pink Pepper, Jasmine and Amber Patchouli. An unpredictable, elusive, ever-changing fragrance – in turn floral, spicy, sensual and rich.’ I definitely recommend giving this a spray when you are next in Boots or near a CHANEL counter!

So that is everything that I have been loving in 2015. Let me know in the comments what you have been loving! I hope you enjoyed this post, sorry it was so long but I tried so many new products in 2015 so it was hard to choose!

See you soon!

Product of the Month – October!

Hey guys! It’s time for a Product of the Month again! I think I missed August and September as I was super busy moving but now that’s out of the way here is my Product of the Month for October.. I am also adding in another favourite that has nothing to do with beauty or fashion but I am loving it, so really wanted to include it.

Product of the Month!

My favourite product this month has definitely been the Clinique High Impact Mascara. I got this for my birthday this year in a little hamper of beauty goodies and totally forgot about it until this month. I don’t have the full size product, just the mini but I still love it! I have never tried a Clinique mascara before as I don’t really believe in spending loads on mascaras, but I may have to make an exception for this one! It makes my lashes look amazing! They are all separated with no clumps. It makes them look really long and fluttery and I only have to do a couple of coats, you could probably get away with one if you don’t like to wear a lot of mascara.

IMG_2480

The wand is a bristle wand which I always find are my favourites as they really do get to every lash, so if you have super blonde eyelashes like me, then it is a must! To get this in a full size it is £17.50 which is quite steep but I am seriously considering purchasing the full size when this runs out as I really do love it! It stays on all day, but is still easy to take off on a night. It doesn’t go flakey through the day and doesn’t irritate my eyes. LOVE IT!

IMG_2481

So my second favourite this month is actually a series I am watching on Netflix…. PLL (Pretty Little Liars)! Yes I am very late to the bandwagon. I actually started watching this a few months ago now and I am throughly enjoying it, in fact I can’t stop watching it! If you haven’t watched it before then basically, it is about a group of friends still in school and one night, at a sleep over, one of them goes missing. A year later a body is found which they all believe to be hers (Alison) but then they start getting texts from someone called A, who really starts to mess with them and their lives… dun dun duuuuuun! I am on season 4 (there are 6 all together – correct me if I am wrong) at the moment so no spoilers please but if you have watched this, or are currently watching it, let me know if you are enjoying it! I can’t wait to find out who A is, it changes every episode I watch which is why I am seriously hooked!

So they are my faves for this month. What have you been loving?

See you soon!
