Beauty Products I Want to Try!

My beauty wishlist is constantly growing, even when I manage to treat myself to something on the list you can almost guarantee two more things will be added straight away. I have done a couple of these posts before but thought I’d do an updated one because my list seems to be very large at the moment so I am going to share the top 5 products that are currently on my wishlist. Don’t forget to let me know whats on your wishlist at the moment too…

Beauty Wishlist Collage 2017Beauty Wishlist –

  • Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick – I still haven’t tried anything from Hourglass and there is always one of their products on my wishlists. I have heard good things about this foundation and I have always been intrigued by the stick foundations.
  • L’Oreal Paris Paradise Mascara – This is a new product from L’Oreal and as soon as I saw this was being released it was mentally added to my list. I love L’Oreal products so as soon as my current mascara runs out I will be purchasing this.
  • Iconic London Illuminator Drops – These look absolutely amazing!! I feel like your highlight would be on point 24/7 with these.
  • The Body Shop Expert Face Masks – I really like the look of these and have tried samples but haven’t tried any of the new ones. I love face masks, especially when they are from The Body Shop.
  • Zoeva Coral Spectrum Blush Palette – Zoeva is my favourite makeup brush brand and I also have a couple of their eyeshadow palettes so I really want to try this blush palette. It looks so pretty and you really can’t go wrong for just under £15!!

That rounds up the top 5 products that are on my beauty wishlist at the moment. Let me know if you have tried any of them and what you think. Hope you’re having a good bank holiday weekend as well!!

Product Empties!

Hey guys! I hope you are well and having a fab weekend! I have been busy packing as I am going to Amsterdam tomorrow and I am super excited! I’ve never been before and already have a long list of things I would like to do and see whilst I’m there. Let me know if you have been before and if there is anywhere or any food places that you would recommend. So lets get onto todays post and I thought that I would do a product empties as I have accumulated quite a few things and want to share my thoughts on the products and whether I would re-purchase them.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation – I love this foundation! Until a better one comes along I will use this everyday! It is on the more pricy side but I think its worth it, plus if you live near a designer outlet its £21 rather than £31! I have re-purchased this as I love it!

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic – I have had this bottle for ages! I thought it was never going to run out, which is a good thing! This is the first product that I use on a morning, it freshens my skin and helps prepare it before applying makeup. I really enjoy using this product and although I haven’t yet re-purchased it, I definitely intend to. Also, little tip with this, I buy the full size bottle but when I first decided to try it I bought the mini spray bottle and I just pour the toner from the big bottle into the spray one as I find it much easier and quicker on a morning!

The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Day Cream – This is the second product that I use on a morning and I love it! It’s such a light moisturiser which is why its a good base for makeup. It keeps my skin moisturised and because its part of the Aloe range it is really gentle on the skin. I have re-purchased this and will continue to.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream – The packaging has slightly changed on this now but it is still the same moisturiser. This is a much more thicker moisturiser but it sinks in beautifully and really helps put back any moisture thats lost through out the day into my face and leave it feeling really soft. I have also re-purchased this as I love using it on an evening before bed.

The Body Shop Instablur All In One Primer – I promise this isn’t sponsored by The Body Shop, I just love their products! I have used this primer for a long time now. It’s the third step in my morning skin care routine and it just finishes off my base perfectly. It blur out my pores and helps keep my makeup in one place. I have, of course, re-purchased this as it is the best primer I have found so far!

So thats all of the products that I have used up over the last few months! Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these products.

I hope you enjoyed this post! See you soon.

Morning Skincare Routine

Hey guys! So I have finally decided to do a skincare routine for you as I really feel that my skin has benefitted from these products and they really help protect and keep my skin as clear as possible. I will be doing an evening routine as well at some point but for now lets get into what I do on a morning!

Morning Skincare Routine

Wash my hands & face

The very first thing I do is was my hands as there is no point in washing my face with dirty hands. I then wash my face using the Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel. I have had this for a while now and it is so gentle on the skin yet really helps with any blemishes! I have sensitive skin but do suffer from spots so I need something that is gentle and none drying but then something that can fight away those spots and this does exactly that! I just use one pump and massage it onto my slightly wet skin, it foams up and feels so soothing. I then rinse it off using a muslin cloth and luke warm water. My skin always feels so clean and refreshed afterwards! I have noticed a real difference in the amount of blemishes I get as well. I was using The Body Shop Tea Tree face wash every other day as well, but they discontinued it and I have unfortunately run out. However, this Vichy face wash does a good job on its own!

Tone & Moisturise

Next up is toner, I use the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer. This is amazing and makes my skin feel so revitalised, it also wakes me up on a morning and I always need help with that! I spritz it 3 or 4 times over my whole face and just wait for it to sink in, which usually takes a couple of minutes. Once that has soaked in I move onto moisturiser. I use the Aloe Soothing Day Cream from The Body Shop. This is another one for sensitive skin as it’s really gentle and has no scent to it. I find this really soothing, as the name suggests but also it calms my skin. It’s a very thin moisturiser so it sinks in fast and a little goes a long way.

Prime and Makeup

Before doing my makeup I use The Body Shop Instablur Primer all over my face, focusing on my forehead and around my nose, as that creates an even smoother base and helps hide my pores. Once that has sunk in I then apply my makeup! If you would like to see what I tend to use on a day to day basis check out this Everyday Makeup post!

Protecting your skin

It is very important to protect your skin from the sun so on an everyday basis I just use my foundation as that has SPF 10 in, and lets face it the UK doesn’t exactly get that blazing sun you get abroad. But if I wasn’t going to wear makeup or I was on holiday where the weather is a lot hotter then I would use a suncream. At the moment the two I go for are from Avon one is factor 30 and one is factor 50, it all depends on how hot it is to which one I would use. These are really good though as they are specifically for your face so if you have sensitive skin like me then they shouldn’t irritate you. They are both water resistant and moisturising. The factor 50 is also anti ageing which I guess is a bonus, it’s best to start young! I think even if the weather isn’t great you should always wear some form of sun cream on your face whether its in a foundation like mine or actual suncream. You age a  lot faster if you don’t protect your skin and of course it helps prevent getting skin cancer!

Morning Routine - Sun Cream

That is everything I use on a morning, I am so glad I have finally found a set of products that agree with my skin and really help make my skin look its best! I am going to do my evening skin care routine very soon too! I use a few more products on an evening, especially when I do a face mask etc.. so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Let me know what products you use on a morning and how you keep your skin protected from the sun!

I hope you enjoyed this post, see you soon!

Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation

Hey lovelies! I hope your week has gotten off to a good start! I am back today with a review on a foundation that I wished I had tried years ago! That is, as the title says, the Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation in the shade 1N2 Ecru. I am so late to this bandwagon! I got one of the free samples first as I didn’t want to buy the full size just incase I didn’t like it. The free samples are really good as you get 10 days worth but mine definitely lasted longer than 10 days! As soon as I finished the sample I went and bought the full size.

Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation

I had this shade tested on me before I got my sample so I knew it was the right one for me. They have 44 shades altogether so I wanted to make sure I got the right one and with so much choice I was slightly overwhelmed! Luckily the lady who served me knew what she was doing and matched me to 1N2 Ecru straight away. I love the packaging of this foundation, the only downside is that it doesn’t have a pump but I use a cotton bud and apply it on my face that way then blend it in with a makeup brush, that way it saves any waste if you pour too much onto your hand.

Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation 1N2 Ecru

Once this foundation is on and set with powder it doesn’t budge! I usually have to powder at least once a day but with this I don’t have to powder at all. It sits so nicely on my skin, doesn’t cling to any dry patches and doesn’t highlight my pores! It has SPF 10 in which is such a great bonus as I hate applying suncream to my face on its own, it always feels so greasy! It’s a medium coverage but can be built up without looking cakey. However, it still feels lightweight and doesn’t smudge/come off on clothes. The finish is Natural/Semi Matte and when this is on it does look natural which is what I look for in a foundation! I don’t like it to look like I’m wearing lots of makeup and I don’t like to feel like I have loads on either.

This foundation has been voted the UK’s No1 and I can totally see why! I am so glad I took the plunge and invested. I can see this bottle lasting me ages. You get 30ml for £30 which is quite expensive but so worth it, I think I can finally say I have found my perfect foundation! Let me know if you have tried this before and what you think about it!

I hope you enjoyed this post, see you soon!

Weekend Makeup Look!

Hello lovelies! I have decided to do a makeup look as I haven’t done one in a while and every weekend I seem to be doing the same thing. So I thought I would share it with you as I used a few products that I have bought recently including the gorgeous Makeup Revolution Flawless Palette!

The products I used –

  • Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation Sample – 1 Fair
  • Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer – Ivory
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Powder – Translucent
  • Makeup Revolution Flawless Palette
  • Soap & Glory Supercat Liquid Eyeliner
  • Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
  • NARS Laguna Bronzer
  • Charlotte Tilbury Blush – First Love
  • MaxFactor Blush – Lovely Pink (I used this as a highlighter)
  • Tanya Burr Lipgloss – Chic

To create this pink smokey eye look I used the gorgeous Makeup Revolution Flawless Palette –

  • Soft Glow – I used this all over my lid
  • Universal – All over my lid
  • Smudge – In the outer corner to create the smokey look
  • Shimmer Heart – On the first half of my lid to add a bit of sparkle and brighten it up a bit.
  • Highlite – On the inner corner of my eye

So that is everything I did to create this look. I have been doing this look nearly every weekend ever since I bought this palette. I think this look is perfect for during the day and you could always glam it up for an evening by adding a darker colour to the outer corner and a bit more glitter!

So I hope you enjoyed this post! I am thinking of doing a celebrity inspired look soon so feel free to give me any suggestions :).

See you soon!

My Favourite Makeup Brushes <3

Hey guys! I hope you are having a good week so far and Monday hasn’t been too rubbish! So makeup brushes are obviously a very important part to our makeup routines. We probably use them for just about every step so I have decided to share with you my favourite makeup brushes that I use everyday and just couldn’t live without!

  • Real Techniques Powder Brush – This is my newest brush and it is amazing! I use this for all my setting powders as it is the perfect size and so soft!
  • Zoeva 106 Powder Brush – I have had this for a while now and I still use it everyday to apply my bronzer. It is super soft and washes really well! I am thinking of buying another one because I love it so much.
  • Zoeva 227 Luxe Soft Definer – This little beauty is just the best! I use this for applying eyeshadow all over my lid and also to the outer corner. It blends well and just does it’s job perfectly – I am also going to be purchasing another one of these!
  • Real Techniques Blush Brush – This was my first RT brush. I purchased this because I was in need of another blush brush and I really wanted to try this brand. I am not disappointed – It applies my blushers so well as it is the perfect shape and again it is super soft against my skin!
  • Zoeva 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek – Yes I am obsessed with Zoeva! I use this to apply my highlighter as I find it is just the right shape and just like all the Zoeva brushes it is so pretty!
  • Zoeva 102 Silk Finish – This brush is absolutely amazing at applying my foundation! It just makes it look so smooth. I use it for my concealer too and always have it with me!

So they are my favourite makeup brushes that I absolutely love and use everyday. What are your favourite makeup brushes?

I hope you enjoyed this post!

See you soon
