Product Empties!

Hey guys! I hope you are well and having a fab weekend! I have been busy packing as I am going to Amsterdam tomorrow and I am super excited! I’ve never been before and already have a long list of things I would like to do and see whilst I’m there. Let me know if you have been before and if there is anywhere or any food places that you would recommend. So lets get onto todays post and I thought that I would do a product empties as I have accumulated quite a few things and want to share my thoughts on the products and whether I would re-purchase them.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation – I love this foundation! Until a better one comes along I will use this everyday! It is on the more pricy side but I think its worth it, plus if you live near a designer outlet its £21 rather than £31! I have re-purchased this as I love it!

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic – I have had this bottle for ages! I thought it was never going to run out, which is a good thing! This is the first product that I use on a morning, it freshens my skin and helps prepare it before applying makeup. I really enjoy using this product and although I haven’t yet re-purchased it, I definitely intend to. Also, little tip with this, I buy the full size bottle but when I first decided to try it I bought the mini spray bottle and I just pour the toner from the big bottle into the spray one as I find it much easier and quicker on a morning!

The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Day Cream – This is the second product that I use on a morning and I love it! It’s such a light moisturiser which is why its a good base for makeup. It keeps my skin moisturised and because its part of the Aloe range it is really gentle on the skin. I have re-purchased this and will continue to.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream – The packaging has slightly changed on this now but it is still the same moisturiser. This is a much more thicker moisturiser but it sinks in beautifully and really helps put back any moisture thats lost through out the day into my face and leave it feeling really soft. I have also re-purchased this as I love using it on an evening before bed.

The Body Shop Instablur All In One Primer – I promise this isn’t sponsored by The Body Shop, I just love their products! I have used this primer for a long time now. It’s the third step in my morning skin care routine and it just finishes off my base perfectly. It blur out my pores and helps keep my makeup in one place. I have, of course, re-purchased this as it is the best primer I have found so far!

So thats all of the products that I have used up over the last few months! Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these products.

I hope you enjoyed this post! See you soon.

Evening Skincare/Pamper Routine

Hello lovelies! I hope you had a lovely weekend. I am back today with my everyday evening skincare routine but also added in what I use when I decide to have a little bit of a pamper, because we all need a good old pamper every now and then! I did my morning skincare routine recently which you can find HERE!

Evening Skincare Routine

Wash my hands and remove my makeup

First up I wash my hands which is an absolute must, especially because the cleanser I use involves putting in on my hands and rubbing it in so clean hands is a must! I then put one pump of the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser on my hands and gently massage into my face and chin. Once I feel happy that I have got all of my face I then gently wipe my eyes so that my eye makeup comes off, you end up looking like a panda for a few seconds! I then grab my Liz Earle Muslin Cloth, run it under warm water and wipe my whole face with it ensuring that I rinse the cloth every now and then. Once I have got all the Liz Earle Cleanser off I go in again with the Soap & Glory Peaches & Clean Deep Cleansing Milk all over my face and wipe off with the same cloth. I have done a post about the Liz Earle Cleanser here. I cleanse twice just to be extra sure that all the makeup is off my face! Plus the S&G cleanser smells soo nice!

Face Mask and Face Wash

Once I am satisfied that all the makeup is off my face I will do a face mask. I don’t do a face mask every night but when I am feeling the need I usually use this Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask as it really helps sort out my pores and get rid of any blemishes. You rub this onto your wet face, it goes super hot for a second and then stays warm on your face. It feels like a spa treatment and doesn’t have too much of a scent so you can sit back and relax for 5-10 minutes, then wash it off. My skin always feels so clean and smooth when I use this face mask. I then wash my face with the Vichy Normaderm face wash which I mentioned in my morning skincare routine.

Moisturise & Eye Cream

Now onto moisturiser & eye cream. I use The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream. This really helps put moisture back into my skin and keeps it feeling soft and smooth. I then use the Aloe Eye Defence from The Body Shop as it’s good for sensitive skin which I have and I just find that this is really good at soothing the under eye area and putting moisture back in. I don’t put my moisturiser under my eyes so it needs something to give it a boost!

So that is everything I usually use for my evening routine/pamper routine. I switch up face masks but at the moment I am loving this Body Shop one which is why I have included it. Let me know in the comments what you use on an evening for a pamper!

I hope you enjoyed this post. See you soon!

Morning Skincare Routine

Hey guys! So I have finally decided to do a skincare routine for you as I really feel that my skin has benefitted from these products and they really help protect and keep my skin as clear as possible. I will be doing an evening routine as well at some point but for now lets get into what I do on a morning!

Morning Skincare Routine

Wash my hands & face

The very first thing I do is was my hands as there is no point in washing my face with dirty hands. I then wash my face using the Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel. I have had this for a while now and it is so gentle on the skin yet really helps with any blemishes! I have sensitive skin but do suffer from spots so I need something that is gentle and none drying but then something that can fight away those spots and this does exactly that! I just use one pump and massage it onto my slightly wet skin, it foams up and feels so soothing. I then rinse it off using a muslin cloth and luke warm water. My skin always feels so clean and refreshed afterwards! I have noticed a real difference in the amount of blemishes I get as well. I was using The Body Shop Tea Tree face wash every other day as well, but they discontinued it and I have unfortunately run out. However, this Vichy face wash does a good job on its own!

Tone & Moisturise

Next up is toner, I use the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer. This is amazing and makes my skin feel so revitalised, it also wakes me up on a morning and I always need help with that! I spritz it 3 or 4 times over my whole face and just wait for it to sink in, which usually takes a couple of minutes. Once that has soaked in I move onto moisturiser. I use the Aloe Soothing Day Cream from The Body Shop. This is another one for sensitive skin as it’s really gentle and has no scent to it. I find this really soothing, as the name suggests but also it calms my skin. It’s a very thin moisturiser so it sinks in fast and a little goes a long way.

Prime and Makeup

Before doing my makeup I use The Body Shop Instablur Primer all over my face, focusing on my forehead and around my nose, as that creates an even smoother base and helps hide my pores. Once that has sunk in I then apply my makeup! If you would like to see what I tend to use on a day to day basis check out this Everyday Makeup post!

Protecting your skin

It is very important to protect your skin from the sun so on an everyday basis I just use my foundation as that has SPF 10 in, and lets face it the UK doesn’t exactly get that blazing sun you get abroad. But if I wasn’t going to wear makeup or I was on holiday where the weather is a lot hotter then I would use a suncream. At the moment the two I go for are from Avon one is factor 30 and one is factor 50, it all depends on how hot it is to which one I would use. These are really good though as they are specifically for your face so if you have sensitive skin like me then they shouldn’t irritate you. They are both water resistant and moisturising. The factor 50 is also anti ageing which I guess is a bonus, it’s best to start young! I think even if the weather isn’t great you should always wear some form of sun cream on your face whether its in a foundation like mine or actual suncream. You age a  lot faster if you don’t protect your skin and of course it helps prevent getting skin cancer!

Morning Routine - Sun Cream

That is everything I use on a morning, I am so glad I have finally found a set of products that agree with my skin and really help make my skin look its best! I am going to do my evening skin care routine very soon too! I use a few more products on an evening, especially when I do a face mask etc.. so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Let me know what products you use on a morning and how you keep your skin protected from the sun!

I hope you enjoyed this post, see you soon!

Perfect Skin Care Duo | The Body Shop

Hello lovelies! How are you doing? So I think I have finally found the perfect day and night moisturisers! I have tried so many but because I have super sensitive skin a lot of products don’t agree with my skin and either break me out or they dry my skin out. However, The Body Shop have saved the day as usual and my skin seems to really like these two amazing products!

I will start with the moisturiser that I use on a morning and that is the Aloe Soothing Day Cream from Body Shop’s Aloe Range. This is the second step in my routine on a morning and when I use this it makes my skin feel so refreshed as it is quite cooling and as the name suggests very soothing on the skin. You don’t need to use a lot of this as a little goes a long way. I have had this pot for absolutely ages and I still have loads left. My makeup sits so nice on top of it as it creates such a nice smooth base. It is fragrance, alcohol and colour free which is why it feels so refreshing as we put a lot of different products on our faces so it is so nice to have something to calm it down before applying makeup over the top. If you have sensitive skin and need something to really sooth and calm your skin then I really recommend this product. It is also really affordable at £12.00 for 50ml.

The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Day Cream

Now onto the last step in my evening routine. This is the Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream from their Vitamin E Range. This is for all skin types and is a lot more of a thicker cream. It says ‘Antioxidant skin repair whilst you sleep’ so it is a lot more rich and moisturising on the skin so paired with the Aloe cream it is a nice balance especially if you have oily skin anyway. My skin always feels so smooth and soft after using this. It does have a stronger scent to it but it’s not too overpowering. There are a lot of ingredients in this that are really good for the skin like Shea Butter, Vitamin E (obvs) and wheatgerm oil. I used to get some dry patches on my skin but ever since using this and the Aloe Day Cream my skin is looking and feeling so much better! The dry patches are gone and my skin looks so much more healthier. This Night Cream is also super affordable at £13.00 for 50ml.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream

I would 100% recommend these two products as they do exactly what they say and my skin loves them. I have had both of these for quite a while so I know they are worth it plus The Body Shop always have good sales on so its a win win ;)! Let me know if you have tried these products and what you think about them?

I hope you have had a lovely Monday!

See you soon.

Oriflame Love Nature Gel Cream!

Hello lovelies! For a Tuesday today wasn’t actually too bad! I hope you had a good day too! I am going back to Skin Care today and will be talking about my new moisturiser from Oriflame! This is a Aloe Vera Gel Cream and it from Oriflame’s Combination Skin Range.

I have been using this for a few weeks now and I am super impressed! It is so hydrating, smells delicious and makes my skin feel so soft and amazing afterwards! I suffer with dry skin all year round but especially when its colder and this has been brilliant! My skin no longer feels dry or tight during the day and I no longer get flakey skin on my forehead or nose. The pot isn’t huge but a little goes along way with this product so if you don’t go crazy it will last a long time. My boyfriend also had really dry skin especially on his forehead so I finally got him to start moisturising and his skin is also so much better and you can really tell the difference!

I got this product when it was on offer for something like £2.45, it has now gone back to full price on their website which is £8.00 but I would definitely pay full price because I have noticed so much difference in my skin and my boyfriends skin so for £8.00 you really can’t go wrong!

Whats your favourite moisturiser at the moment?

See you soon!

My Pamper Night Routine!

Hello lovelies! We all need a good pamper every now and then so I have decided to share with you my current favourite products when I am feeling like I need a good old pamper!

So to start off with I like to take all my makeup off with my Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water because its super quick and makes my skin feel so fresh afterwards! I then run myself a bath – usually a lush bath but if not then I like to use Radox as that is good at making you feel relaxed and chilled out. My current favourite Lush bath bomb is Dragon’s Egg which probably isn’t the best for relaxing because it makes your bath go a bright orange colour and you also get glitter, popping and fizzing but I still love it. If you want one for relaxing I would go for Shoot for the Stars. It does have glitter in but it makes your bath look like the night sky which I find super relaxing! Or you could go for a bath melt as they are super moisturising and make your skin feel so soft and smooth afterwards!

After my bath I then like to put on a face mask and my current favourite is the Lush Mask of Magnaminty Face and Body Mask. I like this face mask because it helps fight against those awful outbreaks and makes my skin feel super soft and smooth afterwards. It also makes my skin feel really clean and fresh as well because it smells of peppermint.

If I don’t feel like doing a face mask I like to use my Lush Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub. I use this most nights anyway but just around my nose. When I am having a proper pamper I go all out and use this on my whole face! I absolutely love this face scrub! I have been suffering with flakey skin on my nose recently which has made my foundation look awful during the day but this has sorted that straight out and if I use it regularly it stops the horrible flakey skin completely!

After I have done my face mask or face scrub I then moisturise using the Simple Moisturiser. You can never go wrong with Simple products because they are made for people with sensitive skin (not saying you can’t use if you don’t have sensitive skin but you know what I mean;) ) so you don’t have to worry about it being too harsh or anything! I really need to get myself a night time moisturiser so if any of you can recommend one then please do let me know!

After I have moisturised, if I remember, I will then use my Clinique All about Eyes eye cream because that helps with dark circles and puffiness. I haven’t noticed loads of difference but it feels really nice on my eyes so I like using it!

Once I am all clean, face masked/scrubbed and moisturised out I will paint my nails or get into bed and then either catch up on reading blogs or I will read my book! I love those nights when you can just chill out and have a nice little pamper session! I would also just like to point out that I haven’t been sent any of these products! I know I have included a lot of Lush products but I am just loving them at the moment and I am really enjoying trying out new things!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know in the comments what you like to do to relax and pamper yourself!

See you soon!
