Hey guys, hope you are well and had a good weekend! Apparently its March, not quite sure how that happened so fast but it did and here I am doing a product of the month for February! So this month and the past few months I have been loving The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter! As with all skincare products I have been using it for a few months just to make sure that it doesn’t irritate my skin and cause breakouts and I can safely say that it hasn’t!
This cleansing butter is such a dream to use and literally feels like butter, just not as greasy! It is so soft and gentle on the skin and really does remove every last bit of makeup. After using this my skin feels so clean I never feel like I have to go back in with more product and re-cleanse. This cleanser is also perfect for sensitive skin so if you are on the hunt for a new cleanser I would 100% recommend this one. It says on The Body Shops website that it removes all types of makeup, it removes my mascara and liquid eyeliner no issues but I don’t wear waterproof mascara so I can’t comment on that but considering how easy it removes mine, I don’t think there would be any issues. If you have tried this on waterproof mascara please feel free to let me know how it performs.
You get 90ml of product for £10.00 which isn’t too bad as a lot of other cleansers I’ve used have had the same amount of product in but they are more expensive. Overall, I really like this cleanser, it does exactly what it says on the tin, its great for sensitive skin and it lasts a fair while too! I have actually just re-purchased this as well as I am running low, that is another reason why this lovely cleanser is my February product of the month. Let me know in the comments if you have used this before and what your thought are..
I hope you enjoyed this post. See you soon!
Hey guys! It’s Product of the Month time and I haven’t done one of these in quite a while so I’m quite excited for this, plus its the first one of 2017! I decided to change up my ‘Product of the Month’ logo/picture thing because I was feeling like it needed a change. It’s nothing special but I am quite pleased with it :). If you want to know what the one product is that I’ve been loving in January, then just keep reading..
It is of course the Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in the shade Naked. This isn’t new to my collection as I’ve had it for a while but I re-organised my makeup drawers so that I can see everything and I have just been reaching for this pretty much every day since. I just love it and as you can see the bronzer gets a lot of use! I like everything about this palette from the packaging, as its nice and sturdy, to the actual products as they are just a dream to use and perfect for my skin tone.
This whole palette is good for natural makeup and also if you want to glam things up a bit. The bronzer can be built up but if you want to go for a natural, everyday look then all you need is a few taps of this on your brush and you’re good to go. All 3 sections are very pigmented but the blush especially so you only need a light dusting of this which is why it looks like I haven’t even touched it! Finally the highlight, which is absolutely stunning! This again can be used for everyday, which I sometimes do if I’m feeling fancy! It can also be used as a killer highlight for a night out and looks gorgeous!
I just love how easy this palette is to use and it’s a perfect choice if you are going away and have limited space. If you haven’t tried it then I recommend giving it a go as they do have different shades to choose from.
What has your favourite product been this month? Let me know 🙂
See you soon!
Hey guys! It’s that time of the month again where I tell you the one product that I have fallen in love with! I have been loving so many products this month so it was quite a tough decision, but I think it has definitely got to be the Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Palette for obvious reasons… just look at it <3!
I have done a full post on this HERE, along with an Everyday Makeup look HERE. So if you want to see a lot more detail on this palette, check out those posts. I will just say though, if you are thinking of getting this palette then I highly recommend it. There are so many everyday wearable shades and then, of course, the super bright shades that look really scary but I have seen so many people create looks with them and yes some are very ‘out there’ but others could be worn every day or at least on a weekend! I am definitely going to do a look using some of them.
So I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know what your favourites have been this month!
See you soon!
Hey guys! Today’s post is a little bit late for a Product of the Month as we are already more than a week into March but hey ho! I really wanted to do this post as there is one product that I have been loving throughout February and probably will do for the rest of the year. That amazing product is one of the Kiko Metallic Shine Eyeshadow’s! I bought this at the beginning of February when I was shopping in Newcastle. I don’t go to Newcastle a lot, especially not the centre of Newcastle, and when I saw that they had a Kiko shop I was straight in there and probably spent about 15 minutes in there (I would have been in longer but my boyfriend and friend were outside waiting for me, boooo!) I only actually bought one thing and that was this gorgeous eyeshadow which I got in the shade 06 Dynamic Taupe.
The packaging is so pretty. It comes in a little pot with a metallic lid and a cute little pattern around the pot. I was drawn to these straight away as the little outer cardboard box packaging is a turquoise colour and really stands out. This shade was definitely my favourite and picked it up straight away! There are 6 shades altogether. As you can see by the pictures it has been used as I couldn’t wait to take pictures, I used it the day after buying it! It was too pretty not to use ;)!
This eyeshadow isn’t a matte shadow it does have a shimmer to it but it is quite subtle and can be built up if you are going for a more heavy eye makeup look. I apply this with my fingers rather than a brush as it is easier for all over the lid, but I have used a brush to apply it under my eyes which was super easy and worked well. It is a creamy texture in the pot but looks like a powder eyeshadow when on the eyes which I really like as you don’t get the fall out that you can get with glitter/shimmery eyeshadows! The reason why I love it so much, other than it being so pretty, is because it stays put all day. Not a lot of drugstore eyeshadows stay put with out using a primer, the only thing I put on my eyes before applying this this is powder. It is really good when used with other eyeshadows as well. I use this for work just by its self but for a weekend if I am going out somewhere then I like to put a small amount of a darker grey shadow in the crease and then a glitter shadow over the top and it looks so pretty!
You can get this eyeshadow online as well as in the Kiko stores. It is normally £6.90 but at the moment they have a sale online so it is currently £3.40! Absolute bargain and I would recommend this eyeshadow 100%! You really can’t go wrong for £6.90 never mind just over £3! I will definitely be going back or online to get this in more of the shades!
So that is my Product of the Month for February. I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know what your favourite Kiko products are at the moment! I hope you have a lovely week!
See you soon.
Hey guys! It’s that time of month again, product of the month! I haven’t done one of these since October and this one is a tiny bit late but better late than never! The product that I used the most and loved the most in December is the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in the shade Bronze. I have done a full post in more detail about this HERE.
Bobbi Brown is one of my favourite high end brands anyway and these shadow sticks are the main reason! I won’t go into to loads of detail as it’s all in the post I have already done but it lasts all day, with no smudging or creasing. It is super pigmented and a little goes a long way! I have had this for a while now and I still have so much product left! I love using this every day as it is quick and easy to use and looks like a lot of effort has gone in when really you’ve only spent about 30 seconds! I really need to invest in some more shades as I think they are an absolute must in anyones makeup bag!
Have you ever tried these Shadow Sticks? If so then let me know your favourite shades! 🙂
I hope you enjoyed this post. See you soon!
Hey guys! It’s time for a Product of the Month again! I think I missed August and September as I was super busy moving but now that’s out of the way here is my Product of the Month for October.. I am also adding in another favourite that has nothing to do with beauty or fashion but I am loving it, so really wanted to include it.
My favourite product this month has definitely been the Clinique High Impact Mascara. I got this for my birthday this year in a little hamper of beauty goodies and totally forgot about it until this month. I don’t have the full size product, just the mini but I still love it! I have never tried a Clinique mascara before as I don’t really believe in spending loads on mascaras, but I may have to make an exception for this one! It makes my lashes look amazing! They are all separated with no clumps. It makes them look really long and fluttery and I only have to do a couple of coats, you could probably get away with one if you don’t like to wear a lot of mascara.
The wand is a bristle wand which I always find are my favourites as they really do get to every lash, so if you have super blonde eyelashes like me, then it is a must! To get this in a full size it is £17.50 which is quite steep but I am seriously considering purchasing the full size when this runs out as I really do love it! It stays on all day, but is still easy to take off on a night. It doesn’t go flakey through the day and doesn’t irritate my eyes. LOVE IT!
So my second favourite this month is actually a series I am watching on Netflix…. PLL (Pretty Little Liars)! Yes I am very late to the bandwagon. I actually started watching this a few months ago now and I am throughly enjoying it, in fact I can’t stop watching it! If you haven’t watched it before then basically, it is about a group of friends still in school and one night, at a sleep over, one of them goes missing. A year later a body is found which they all believe to be hers (Alison) but then they start getting texts from someone called A, who really starts to mess with them and their lives… dun dun duuuuuun! I am on season 4 (there are 6 all together – correct me if I am wrong) at the moment so no spoilers please but if you have watched this, or are currently watching it, let me know if you are enjoying it! I can’t wait to find out who A is, it changes every episode I watch which is why I am seriously hooked!
So they are my faves for this month. What have you been loving?
See you soon!
Hello lovelies! I hope you had a good weekend! I went home this weekend to see my family as it is my brothers birthday today so we had a BBQ on Saturday with everyone! What did you get up to? So today I am back with another Product of the Month which, as always, I can’t believe I am doing this already (it is a teeny bit late as I have been so busy but better late than never ey!). I have two favourites this month one of them is a skin care product and one is a bit random but I really wanted to include it!
So my first favourite this month is the Liz Earle Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion. As I said in my previous post a colleague recommended this to me to help with my itchy eyes from hay fever but this does a lot more than sooth eyes. It says on the bottle that it ‘Cleans and revitalises the delicate eye area’ which I completely agree with. It removes light eye makeup and it also cleans your eyes on a morning so they are ready to apply makeup. Another way I like to use this is to leave it in the fridge over night then pop some on two cotton pads and place them over my eyes for 10 minutes – that really helps with itchy, sore eyes. This is a herbal lotion so it’s not harsh on sensitive eyes.
My second favourite this month is Netflix! I am super late on this bandwagon! My friends have been persuading me to get this for ages, so I finally caved and signed up and I absolutely love it! I didn’t realise how many films and series are actually on there! I am especially loving the Disney films, because who doesn’t love Disney ;)!
So they are my favourites for June! Let me know what you have been loving and also any series or films on Netflix that you recommend!
I hope you enjoyed this post! See you soon.
