Hey guys! So I thought I would do a review on a new eyeshadow palette today as I want to use it in a post that I have planned but felt that I needed to review it first. I received this cute little palette in the February Birchbox, which was my first ever Birchbox and I am so pleased with it. I have done a post on my thoughts of the February Birchbox here! Now back to the eyeshadow palette! As the title says this is the Pop Beauty Bright Up Your Life Eyeshadow Trio in the shade Champagne Mocha and these shades are right up my street!
The packaging is pretty basic but very sturdy, so sturdy that I actually struggle to get into it without breaking a nail but hopefully that will wear down over time. It’s not a major issue and maybe I just got a dodgy one but that is the only thing that I see as a ‘bad thing’ so lets get onto the good things! I think the name of this palette ‘Champagne Mocha’ is perfect as the 3 shades definitely resemble both of those things. Since receiving this palette I have used it a lot, its so wearable and great for everyday. All 3 of the eyeshadows are shimmery and the darkest shade has little specs of glitter in which is super pretty! The eyeshadows last pretty much all day and that’s without a primer so I am really impressed. This is one of those palettes that is super easy to use and only takes a couple of minutes to achieve a smokey eye look that looks like you’ve spent half an hour perfecting.
I am really impressed with the quality of this palette and when I have used up this mini version I am definitely going to buy a full size palette as they are only £15.50 and you get 10 eyeshadows. They have 3 to choose from and I think I would probably go for ‘Naturally Bare’ which is super pretty! Let me know in the comments if you have ever tried this brand before, I had never heard of them before receiving my Birchbox.
I hope you enjoyed this post! See you soon
Hi guys, I hope you are really well! With Spring just around the corner I thought I would share with you the blusher that I will be using pretty much every day throughout Spring and have been using every day for the past couple of weeks. The blush I am talking about is the Clinique Blushwear Cream Stick in the shade Rosy Blush. I will just say, I think this particular one has been discontinued but the chubby sticks look very similar.
So as the name says this is a cream blusher and I have only really started using cream blushers in the past year or so as I always thought they would make my skin look greasy and oily but I was so wrong! This blush sit so nicely on my foundation and under powder, it gives me a really healthy glow which is perfect for any time of year but I definitely feel its a good look for Spring. Before using this blusher my usual blush, bronzer and highlighters were powder products and I noticed that my skin was getting a few dry patches which is why I decided to switch up my powder blush for this one and it has definitely helped with it being a cream product.
As I mentioned before I apply this after my foundation and then set everything in place with my usual powder and it just makes my cheeks pop with colour and gives them a nice rosy glow. It also lasts all day so there is no need to re-apply! I have a feeling that this product is going to last me a long, long time as a little goes a long way, a few dabs of this and you are good to go! It literally takes 3 seconds which is a bonus if, like me, you are always in a rush on a morning!
I am wearing this blush in the above picture and I just love it! It is so pigmented and such a shame that Clinique discontinued it. However, the Clinique Chubby Sticks look pretty similar and I am sure that Boots and Superdrug will have much more affordable cream blushers that do exactly the same thing!
Let me know in the comments what you think of cream blushers and if you haven’t tried them them I recommend giving them a go! I hope you enjoyed this post!
See you soon!
Hey guys! Hope you are well! I am back today talking all things Lush with a couple of products from the Valentines Day range and then one of my all time faves! So the two products from the Valentines Day range are the Ladybird Bubble Bar and the Rose Bombshell Bath Bomb and then I picked up the Dragons Egg Bath Bomb because it smells amazing and it’s definitely one of my favourites! If you want to hear more about these lovely Lush goodies then keep on reading.. 🙂
I’ll start with the Rose Bombshell bath bomb which can I just say, how pretty is this?! It’s almost too pretty to use! However, I did use it and its definitely a good one! It’s got a very floral scent as the name would suggest and turns your bath water pink which is super fun! It’s got rose absolute and rose oil in which give it the floral scent but it also has Sicilian Lemon Oil which makes it super refreshing. After a little while you get a lovely surprise when the rose petals float out of the centre and make your bath look very pretty! If you like floral scents then I would definitely recommend this bath bomb!
Next up is this cute little bubble bar called Ladybird. I wanted to keep this one as well but it had to be used and although this is a smaller bubble bar I did get about 3 or 4 uses out of it. This is another floral one but not as strong as the Rose Bombshell. It’s got sweet geranium oil in which is good for relaxing and peppermint oil which helps revive and uplift your mind and body, sounds like a good bath to me! I will definitely be re-purchasing this little guy if I can.
Finally onto one of my all time favourites, Dragons Egg bath bomb. This smells absolutely divine! This has a very citrusy scent as it has Lemon Oil in, Bergamot Oil and Jasmine absolute and to make it even more fun its got popping candy so as well as being super fizzy it pops away as well! This one turns your bath water a lovely gold colour as well and I just love it! If you haven’t tried Dragons Egg then I 100% recommend giving it a go!
That’s it for this haul/review, I hope you enjoyed it! I absolutely love Lush and have to try not to spend all my money when I go in but if you have any recommendations then please feel free to leave them below as I love trying new products, especially from Lush!
See you soon!
Hello lovelies! I hope you are well and had a good long weekend! About a month ago I went to London with my boyfriend for a mini break and stumbled across a shop called 3INA in Covent Garden (You can find my London Haul post HERE). I was drawn in straight away as it’s quite a bright shop and all the makeup was set out perfectly with nothing out of place. It’s very much like Kiko with the way it’s set out and the price of the products but at the time I was going in, Kiko was full of people so you could barely move whereas I basically had the 3INA store to myself – it was great! I was so spoilt for choice, I actually got a bit overwhelmed by it all and came out with one thing which is what this post is all about.
As you can see by the title I purchased yet another eye product but I couldn’t help myself! I got a Pencil Eyeshadow in the shade 106 which is a sort of dusky pink/bronze shade. It’s got a slight shimmer to it but nothing too ‘in your face’. It’s the perfect eye product for everyday as its so easy to use, just swipe some over your lid blend it in with your finger and you’re good to go. It stays put all day so it’s especially good for work as you don’t need to worry about it coming off or creasing. I actually like to use this as an eyeshadow base as well. I use it with my more pinky eyeshadows and it looks so pretty.
You can get this eyeshadow pencil for £6.95 which is reasonable as it is a very good product and does stay put all day, the only thing I don’t like is the fact that once the product has been used you can’t twist the pencil bit to get more product, once its gone its gone and mine is already getting quite low. Other than that I absolutely love it and will probably re-purchase once mine has completely run out. You can’t buy online at the moment, which I didn’t realise up until now but they are working on it.
Let me know if you have tried anything from 3INA before as I really want to try some more products. I love finding new, affordable brands to try :).
I hope you enjoyed this post.
See you soon.
Hi lovelies! I hope you had a brilliant weekend and Monday wasn’t too much of a struggle! I did a bit of shopping this weekend and even though I was only supposed to be window shopping I ended up buying a few things so I might do a haul very soon as I am very happy with the things I bought. For now though this post is all about the Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette. I have had this since about August last year but never got around to blogging about it so if you want to know more about this palette, read on :).
I’ll start with the packaging as like all Urban Decay products it is such good quality. I only have two products from Urban Decay but I love the packaging on both and even when looking at the products at the counter (wishing I had them all) they are all really pretty and amazing quality. The mirror inside is nice and big, perfect for keeping in your handbag or even to use on a morning when you first apply your makeup!
You can get this palette in 4 different shades, I have ‘Naked’ as I felt this one was best for my skin tone and just preferred it in general. Both the blusher and bronzer have a slight shimmer to them but it is still suitable for everyday as it is a very subtle shimmer. All three are very natural so if you like the natural look then this is the palette for you! The blusher is so pretty and really makes my skin look healthy and fresh. The highlighter is very pigmented, in fact they all are, so you only need a little bit of each to finish off your look. I think this palette would be a good one for this Valentines day/weekend as you can create a lovely natural look so it would be perfect for a daytime date or an evening date.
I absolutely love this palette and really enjoy using it every day. It is on the pricier side compared to the drugstore as it is £23.50 but I think it is totally worth spending a bit more money on. It is really is good quality and will last you for ever as each product is full size and as I mentioned before they are really pigmented so you only need to dust a little bit over your face and you are good to go!
So that is it for todays post, I hope you enjoyed it! Have you ever tried one of these palettes and what do you think of it? I’d love to know 🙂
See you soon!
Hello lovelies! I hope you had a good Halloween and are still having a good weekend! I love Halloween as it gives everyone an excuse to dress up, carve pumpkins and also create super cool scary faces using makeup! My favourite bit, apart from eating sweets, is definitely looking at all the cool makeup looks! Some people are so talented and it really shows you how much you can do with makeup! I didn’t get round to creating any looks this year but next year I am definitely going to have a go :D!
Today’s post is a review of the Maybelline Master Sculpt, which is like a mini contour kit. As you can see you get a bronzer and highlight so it’s perfect for travelling or on the go. You also get a mirror which is underneath the bronzer and highlight, along with a mini brush. So if you do travel a lot then this is definitely a good one to take away with you. You can get this in two shades, Light/Medium or Medium/Dark. I have Light/Medium as its no secret, I am basically Caspar the Friendly Ghost ;)! Light/Medium is perfect for super light skin tones. The bronzer isn’t too dark and the highlight is a beautiful Champagne shade.
The bronzer is matte so if you prefer matte bronzers this will be for you. I don’t have many matte bronzers so I am quite pleased, especially as it is a really good bronzer too! It’s a warm toned bronzer and looks really natural but can be built up to create the famous ‘Kim K’ cheekbones. The highlighter is gorgeous! As I said before it’s a super pretty champagne shade and also looks really natural but because it is very pigmented it can also be built up to create a very glowy look! I also like to use this on my eyes as the inner corner highlight!
I am so pleased I decided to buy this little duo! It is perfect for on the go as you have everything needed to apply first thing and then to top up if needed. I have been reaching for this nearly every day as I love using it and it looks so natural which, for me, is great as I don’t like anything too heavy for during the day. I really recommend this if you are in the market for a new bronzer and highlight. It’s £6.99 which is another great thing as you are getting two products for not a lot of money! Let me know your thoughts on this product if you have used it before!
See you soon!
Hello lovelies! I hope you have had a good week! I am going to jump straight into todays post, which is all about the wonderful InstaBlur Primer from The Body Shop. I have had this for quite a while now but I think I was still super late in purchasing this. I always used to see it on Gabby’s (Velvet Gh0st) Youtube channel and kept meaning to buy it but I still had a lot of my Porefessional left, so I waited until that was nearly empty and then purchased it.
I tried this on the back of my hand in the shop before purchasing and it has such a weird consistency, but I really like it. It’s almost like a clear gel, you do have to be careful when you have it on your hand as it can fall off because of the gel like consistency, but once you have rubbed it in it makes your face feel so smooth and soft. There isn’t really a scent to it, maybe a slight fresh kind of scent (if that makes sense) but I can barely smell anything.
When I first tried this I could definitely tell the difference in my makeup, it stayed on for longer and it also went on a lot smoother and still does. My pores are less visible and any spots I have are smoothed out a bit. It says on the website that is controls shine for 12 hours, I’m not sure I 100% agree with this but I do get quite oily on my T-Zone anyway, so nothing a bit of powder can’t fix through out the day.
Overall I love this primer and will definitely continue to purchase this when I run out. The body shop always have deals on, either online or in store, so you never really have to pay full price, plus it’s only £14.00 anyway. Let me know if you have ever tried this primer!
See you soon!
